Group conversations
A group conversation has several participants: personas that answer one at a time in one thread. Start one from a recipe, or add participants to a chat in the conversation panel.
Who speaks#
When you send a message, the speakers are chosen in this order:
- The participants you ticked in the conversation panel (when you coordinate).
- The
@Namementions in your message. - The coordinator of the conversation, when it has one.
- Otherwise every participant once, in order.
The replies follow one another. Each reply shows the avatar and the name of its author. Stop conversation in the header ends the round. A muted participant stays in the list but does not answer.
Coordinator#
A coordinator decides who speaks next. Each decision goes into the thread as a short note ("Jev gives the floor to Social Democrat"). Click the note to see the candidates and their probabilities.
- After the named speakers reply, the coordinator is asked again until it says the round is done.
- A coordinator persona may name itself and speak.
- An
@mentionfrom you always wins.
Conversations that run on their own#
A recipe with a message cap or a time cap and a coordinator runs without you. After every reply the coordinator picks the next speaker until:
- the cap is reached,
- the coordinator says the conversation is done, or
- the coordinator hands the floor to you.
Between two replies the conversation waits for the reading delay of the recipe. The header shows "Reading pause ยท next reply at 14:05".
Your turn. When User in cast is on, the coordinator may give you the floor. The header shows "Your turn" and the conversation waits. Your message starts the next turn. After the human timeout the conversation goes on without you.
Stop and resume. Stop conversation ends the run. Resume conversation asks the last speaker to write again. When a cap was reached, you can reset the limits and go on. You can always write a message; that starts a new run.
The composer hides while the conversation runs and comes back when it is your turn or the run has ended. When you coordinate, it always shows.
Conversation panel#
The panel on the right of a group conversation shows the run and its progress against the caps, the recipe, the participants (add, remove, mute; ticks when you coordinate), the tags and the export, pin and delete buttons. Sampling and prompt belong to each persona there; the model is the conversation's.
Group conversations are not summarised and stay out of memory.
